Elipse proposes a change of plan: lighting from the bottom up in this new outdoor floor lamp by Josep Lluís Xuclà.
Embracing simplicity, its design consists of an aluminum tube with two openings that allow light to be projected from above and to escape from below. The opening in the upper part has an irregular shape, an aesthetic detail visible when the lamp is off and greatly enhanced when the lamp is on, as a perfect ellipse is traced on the lamp itself that stands out in the darkness.
The inside of the tube is white, and when it is illuminated, the light grows and comes alive, as the lamp itself seems to almost disappear, and only the light remains. Meanwhile, at the bottom the light escapes, and the base it supports acts as a reflective screen, so that the light appears to float.
In large outdoor environments this lamp enhances the light it emits as it interacts with everything it illuminates: a tree, a garden, a wall or a facade.
Available in graphite gray or brown in two heights: 48 and 79 cm. Elipse works as a single light element, or in combination with multiple elements.
This collection also offers an outdoor wall version.
