MM8 - Desalto table

The MM8 table investigates the limits of the material in relation to its structural properties, exploiting the physical qualities of aluminum. The construction provides an overall tension to the structure, allowing the top to reach a minimum thickness of 8 mm.

The weights contained within the two cylinders increase the rigidity of the surface, counterbalancing the forces in order to ensure high stability.

The resulting composition gives a strong monolithic presence to the piece, highlighted by the accentuated contrast between the impressive volumes of the base and the extreme thinness of the top.
